Low voltage guage

Go to http://www.national.com/design then search for LM3914.  
Just about the simplest application will work.  Put a 1Mohm
resistor in series with the input.

I have a couple of PCBs/kits/can build up a 20 LED version
of this.  Email me for details.  Don't pay any more than $2.50
for the LM3914 (Allied Electronics charge $2.09, but they
have a $50 minimum order).
