Hi All

This has been very interesting as I'm converting my MK1 Capri to efi
over xmas and I need to install a return line and a surge tank.
The tank is in the boot, so the return has to got up hill.
1) Does this mean that if the return goes to the bottom of the tank
the pressure will equal the height it has to go up plus the pressure of
fuel in the tank?
The big question is if 1) is true will the extra foot and a half in height
(feeding to the top of the tank) mean that the total pressure is less
than feeding to the bottom of the tank plus the fuel in the tank?

Or is it something completely different ...... I been thinking of this as
though it is a hot water system. Water is pumped into the top of the
header tank, higher the header tank higher the water pressure.

Cheers
