Tom, I don't think that your projection uses a MAP sensor, but i know
that the digital ones do (i have a digital one), but the digital ones
also use an IAC.  The fast-idle solenoid on your throttle does not work
well?  It is a sorta cheesy setup, isn't it?  Maybe you could make a
little plate that would go under the throttle body that has a fixed
venturi sorta thing and has constant fuel pressure on it.  Hmmm.... 
then you flip a switch and instant gas and air mixture to boost the
speed a bit!  maybe an old fuel injector with a 555 timer using a fixed
rate could supply the fuel, and you could have that IAC motor mounted on
the other side of the plate to allow the extra air into the intake....
hmmm....  You only need to know the basic skills of any handiman-and a
machinist, electronic engineer, and an automotive engineer!  Just some
brainstorming.  It really not a bad idea!  and yes, i swear, i just
thought it up!  LOL!  Good luck on your project!  Let me know how it
