I'm putting engine management off to last on my homebrew-car project,
simply because I'm using the OEM stuff to get the car moving and inspected,
and watching the success of the EFI332 project. In a year or two, when I
have a rolling chassis, then I'm going to either build the EFI332 system as
is, or branch off on my own with a similar yet somewhat different design.
I have some turbo's to factor into the system, and would want to run dual
injectors... normal ones (stock!) for daily driving and cruising, with a
second set of injectors firing increasingly longer pulse times as the
turbo's spin up and increase the boost.

Actually, ideally, I'd like to trick the GM ECM I have into thinking its
running "normal" when its running up to twice the fuel and twice the
atmospheric pressure (turbo boost) at whatever is necessary for the ECM to
think nothings going on. I'm a hardware guy, so I tend to prefer to
manipulate sensor voltage and driver technology. I can code, but "Hello
World" is not very useful.

Ideally, a PC display from the older style notebooks, that had a crappy
aspect ratio would be idea... the display I'm thinking of is color, but 8"
wide and 5" high, would make a pretty dashboard. Of course, mount the LCD
on the underside of the dashtop, and use a mirror to reflect down through a
polarizing filter to reduce glare and viewability from outside the car.

Count me in :)
