2.8L/3.1L AND 3.8L FWD same bellhousing pattern?

the fwd "3800" v6 has the what i call "A frame" bellhousing.  same as
2.8/3.1/3.4/2.5(iron duke)

i can only prove this back to 1988, as i have an oldsmobile delta 88
3800/440T4 (i have dropped the trans twice.  :-)
