2.8L/3.1L AND 3.8L FWD same bellhousing pattern?

SD = Speed Density. 

When GM started the V6 MPFI. they designed SD and Mafs at the same time and
put the Mafs in the X-11 and the SD in the Fiero. Should one them have
failed Federal certification, the other would be swapped in. So it is
entirely possible the Fiero could have gotten a Mafs or the X-11 a map
sensor (SD).
