I just got off the phone with the guy at Edelbrock who designed the
system,,he says there are 36lb injectors available(not through them) but
doesn't know how readily available...I am considering a 2.2L
Whipplecharger on top of this and custom TB to achieve around 600hp...He
also stated if you are familiar with the gm code it will not be
difficult to alter the fuel and timing tables to meet specific
needs.....I am dying to see one of their chips(might have one in my
hands today..he he) to see how they were able to fire the
injectors.....the one I am pilfering is for a 94 BBC,,I think I know how
they did that one,,,but I can't see how they don't blow the drivers on
an early 7747 computer, or even get it to work good enough for a CARB
approval.....any tidbits of info would be greatly appreciated as I am
preparing estimate for customer now...
I also went thorugh great "pains" getting through to this person(He
asked not to divulge his name around as he doesn't want tech calls) It
sucks when you call the tech dep. and they can't even tell you the duty
cycle on the flow rate or which bar for the injectors....By the way, he
says they are 29lb injectors at 100%>>>(but he also said he has never
verified that, just what he was told)at 3 bar(45psi)....I'll keep you
all informed....
