Well, probably cause some of us have toasted an injector in our
ignorance, by trying what you did. We just weren't as wise as you about
"touching the wire for a split second". Maybe someone early on in the
discussion should have said simply and point blank, "DON'T DO THAT, you
can destroy a peakNhold injector by applying 12V directly to it".
Instead we got light hearted and goofed around joking about "letting
*special existential smoke* escape".

That's why "everyone is talking about this smoke", mate. Comprendo?

If your injector is still intact, count yourself a happy go lucky guy.
