Well, what we did was buy some aluminum tubing from "Aircraft Spruce",
a mail order experimental aircraft hobby shop. We determined our length
and had a fabrication shop mandrel bend some pre-determined angle into
four sections. We then machined up some bosses, and welded up a "log"
plenum. We then welded the whole darned thing together. It almost
worked. It turns out that our plenum held about as much air as your
college-sized trash can, and the resultant throttle response was poor,
to say the least. This year's system should be much better!
-- Or were you referring to the drinking straw solution?
-- I just quit drinking my beer that way, and
used a mug instead of directly from the pitcher. =:0
