Have you tried replacing the float?  The synthetic floats soak up fuel and
sink, allowing the fuel level in the bowl to rise.  I've had to change the
one in my parents Regal twice in the last 4 years.  The ones in my Honda
sank, and the replacements are real plastic (hollow).  The ones in my
Ramcharger were so bad that it constantly flooded.  It seems the
oxygenated fuel aggrivates the problem (personal observation).  

The first replacement for the Regal was aftermarket.  It lasted 2-3 years.
The latest one is the dealer part.  

If you replace the float and clear the computer error codes, drive it a
while.  If there are no new error codes, the o2 sensor is still good.  The
FSM will detail the troubleshooting procedure.  Basically if it puts out
around 0.5 volts when hot, it's ok.
