methanol lubrication

With this discussion about a suitable lubricant for methanol, has anyone
considered using something like the upper cylinder lubricant for cars
running on LPG, ie. something like Morey upper cylinder lubricant for LPG
engines.  Since this stuff provides lubrication and protection of valve
seats it should be ideal.
  
I would think this would be relatively cheap (as compared to most other
things) due to its extensive use in many cars (from memory I think its
something like AU$20/litre in small quantities).
