Unless, of course, you have a way to manually adjust the computer 
(at idle).  We had severe idle problems on a big cammed 88 Mustang
(speed density).  We added a simple "add on" computer and the problem
was solved.  And the car did run better (faster) than the identical "mass
air" cars.
