Peter and all,

Yes. I agree the Infiniti setup is far superior, problem is that I don't
have it and it is expensive.  See, I've got the Infiniti long block but it
has no sensors, wiring, or computer.  

I'm keen on the TPI setup, just because I'm familiar with getting the ECM
to do what you tell it to.  It's also a cheap setup to buy at a junkyard or
from somebody like Street and Performance.

You mentioned an HEI module.  Could you elaborate on the workings of the
ECM/ HEI Module/ Stock distributor as an ignition system?
