I'm with you.  Let the OEMs pay for all the engineering.  As long as 
the computer is used within its limits, the stock stuff is OK and you 
can get parts at any dealership or parts store.

'Course there's a lot of folks like to operate their vehicle outside 
the OEMs design criteria. . .
