Yes, and no.
A lot of the Chrysler products require an add-on module that intercepts the
signals from sensors, modifies their output, and sends the new data off to
the ECM. This is one way to skin a cat. Some Ford products, like the
Mustang, have chips than can be replaced.
Several of the magazines such as "Supercharged and Turbo" performance have
advertisements for Mustangs, F150's and Dodge Rams.
