Electric clutch's on blowers.  Check out the MAD MAX movie.  Da 
hero's (Mel Gibbs) Pontiac had such a blower.  Twas for real.
Seems like a supercharger only needs a few hp at light load.  The
set up was written up in a couple of rags in the late eighties. You
manually flipped the switch BEFORE transitioning to high power.

If the first ingredient ain't Habanero, then the rest don't matter.
