Lower heating values of gasoline and diesel will vary with location.
When oxygenated fuelis used the heating values are slightly lower than
elsewhere. Generally these figures are acceptable (in btus/USgallon)

1. Gasoline 109,000 - 119,000 average of 113,000 btus/gal (~18,000
btus/lb)
2. Diesel 114,000 - 128,000 average of 124,000 btus/gal (~18,000
btus/lb)
3. MeOH 56,800 btu/gal (8,580 btu/lb)
4. EtOH 76,000 btus/gal (11,550 btu/lb)

If using imperial gallons you must convert the Btus/gal upward for the
larger gallon.
