Sorry it took me so long to post this but I went and got a 24 hr bug. I
will pass it on to you guys.

the LS1 does not have and EGR Valve it uses outside air pumped in to the
exhaust.

Ignition used is a single coil per cylinder with 2 sensors for firing
position one on the crank and one on the single cam. They are still
using the magneto-resistive type pickups.

The ECM is mown called a PCM (POWERTRAIN COMPUTER MODULE) it uses a 32
bit processor and Modula-GM language The system now has a built in
digital signal-to-noise filter which acts as an intermediary between the
knock system and the PCM. The filter can be tuned dynamically so that
the noise can be more precisley filtered out allowing optimization of
spark timing.

The role of the PCM has been greatly expanded beyond the important task
of engine emission control. The new software took 4 years of development
coupling structured design approches and dynamic vehicle and engine
simulations including air flow predictions real time suspension dapening
cylinder wall wetting to predict transient fueling requirments and a
torque model which predicts engine torque output
The PCM nowe contains 375K of code, 75K of specific LS1 calibration in
rom and uses 13.5K of RAM. Eight other systems are tied into the PCM
network HVAC, ABS, INSTRUMENT PANEL, TRANSMISSION ect.
The fuel system is a limited recirculataion type with the regulator at
the entrance to the fuel rail. The fuel rail is mfg from Stainless steel
and has quik disconnects on it for ease of maintaince. Pressure is kept
at 58 psi by a vaccuum operated regulator. Fuel control is managed by a
MAP and engine calibration tables. The throttle is electroniclly
operatedvia a serial link from the PCM.
The intake manifold is molded from Zytel nylon 6,6 with no coolant
passages.

Basically there it is a a quik nutshell I should have a PCM here soon
and I will see what I can do with it on my Daily driver. If you have any
questions feel free to E-mail me.
