4-cyl HEI in GM Autos?

Hey Maties.

I'm on an errand of mercy (well, sorta), and hopefully not a fool's
errand. Herein lies my quest.....

I've got an '83 GM car (V-6) with an HEI dizzy (no centrifugal nor
vacuum mechanism in the dizzy, of course), which the ECM controls in
so-called "bypass" mode, but the dizzy performs amiably if disconnected
from the ECM (so-called "non-bypass" mode), with the autonomous module
inside even providing a modest advance ramp from above say 1500rpm.

Here's the question: did GM make something like this in a 4-cyl dizzy?
