John, I had the same flywheel experience w/my '87 TBI 350 Blazer. I
removed the 700R4
in favor of the NVG4500HD (MT8), and purchased a new flywheel from GM
dealer. I
couldn't find a used one, and couldn't find a good answer to the
usability of a 400
flywheel. This engine is externally balanced. The GM flywheel I am using
is GM P/N 10105832, $192 full retail, $144 net. steve
