Even a turbo-swirl propane or MAPP torch can do the job, but I did use
acetelene.
I still have about 18 feet of the stuff left from my one lb. It is quite
light, so a couple ounces would likely do the job. This is roughly 1/8"
diameter rod. I suspect a lb would do about 20 feet of joint.
