Sorry , my mistake ( the attachment ) .
You can retreive the pdf file ( data sheet for lm3916 ) from natioanl 
semiconductor . On page 15 of that doc you will find some info regarding 
your problem .
About farnell , they have a search engine . It's very , very slow but 
you can find your display by name . In the mean time I'll try to find 
the part no for you.

p.s.I have the pdf for 3916 but it's > 400k . If you can't get from 
national , give a sign .
