Hello What year LT1 PCM are you using? Disabling EGR will probably cause part throttle detonation due to the additional spark advance programmed during EGR operation. If you are using a '94 - '95 PCM then reprogramming to prevent EGR might be the best solution. In my experience most codes will cause the PCM to turn on both fans and shut off 'learning'. Bob Bailey
