Speed limiters and MR2's

Problem is how to remove the top speed limitation,which I am told is 
in the eprom of a Jap import MR2 turbo.Anyone know how this can be 
done?I am not really wanting to alter any other parameters than the 
speed limitation,right now.Information is scarce,but some commercial 
enterprises will sell a chip,but it has other mods,like a raised fuel 
cut off boost limit.
