datalogger input

Hi Folks,
       I'm looking for some help doing something one of you may have already
done....I want to use a timing light inductor and build a circuit to convert
that signal to 0-5 digital for my datalogger.....I have been able to get by in
the past intercepting dist signal but now have to work on a drag boat and it
has a magneto,,,,,so if any of you has any ideas or has a circuit designed
that is relatively noise free it would sure save me some time. TIA

P.S.   Has anyone had any experience as to whether spark noise affects a
horiba and/or its sensor????????
