Hey,
Ok, on decoding my 93 Z28 computer, I have beaten most of the ALDL
routines and know where alot of the internal info is stored.
I have looked at the code and found some of the routines that control
TCC (torque convertor clutch) lockup. I have found the specific byte
that controls (what I believe) the TCC lockup at WOT in 3rd gear. I
found something that compares to the vehicle speed, and if above a
certain value (95mph) locks the torque convertor. This 95 mph is
verified by diacom that confirms that things lockup at exaclty 95 mph.
Because this puts my rpms a bit lower than my powerband I want to
adjust it to be a bit higher. This data will be posted on my web site
tonight or tomorrow.
Now, here is the question:
There is a parameter used around the TCC lockup called "TCC locked up
for by-pass noise" and is set sometimes when the TCC is locked up.
Anyone have any idea what the purpose of this is and what it really
means?
Another things I have not been able to find, I have found where it
sets the TCC lockup bit ($0066), but I have not been able to find
where it actually sets an output bit to make the TCC lockup. I did a
quick scan of all code reading $0066 (obvious addressing), and checked
to see if something set things in the $10xx range based on the
settings in $0066, and I did not find anything. Anyone have any ideas
on what I am missing?
Roger
