The was no intension on my part about putting down the
guys who use the aftermarket ECMs.  Just my expression
of why I use OEM.   Nothin more than that.

I have cracked very little code, very..  What I have done is
tried to learn about it, and by pestering, reading the archives
and with the help of a whole bunch of folks have started
to understand a little of this ECM stuff.  
   What I have posted so far has been done with the $300
program from The Turbo Shop..  I by no means have cracked/
hacked/reverse engineered anything.  
  For my understanding of electronic design is from the Radio
Shack's little how to books, and Forrest Mimms books.  
  My area of expertise (if you will) is by swinging wrenches,
and I done a bunch of that.  All this stuff that is holding the
smoke in is a mistery to me.  I do have a talent for letting
smoke outta little black things, but that is part of my 
learning curve, kinda lab mouse avoiding what smells bad.
