Andy,
I have a 700CFM 4di on a '70 Ford 302 with a farily hot hydraulic roller
cam, .520 lift 224 @ .050 and 9:1 compression. I use all the advance
without a problem. It took a lot of playing around to keep it from
backfiring during warmup and to pass emmissions at idle. The map
provided with my unit for the 302 looks nothing like what I ended up
with. There is a projection web site that might help you out:
http://www.genevaonline.com/~efi/. I have sent my maps there for
reference. me

Does anybody have any suggestions for ignition timing on a 454 with
digital projection? Performer intake, tube headers, 268 cam, etc ,etc.
I can vary my ignition advance from 0 to 48 degrees with the ECU. I
guess i am wondering what it should be at cruise and full-throttle. I
have heard that a big-block chevy should be able to take 40 degrees, but
that sounds high. thanks!
