One thing I'd played with some was a series of
three 555's and three FETs Two turning on at the
same time, one was across a resistor (current
limiter?), then after a period of time the one with
no resistor would open, so the only one on had
the resistor 10 ohms, then would come the off
signal after a pause the thrird FETwould close
inline with a 30 ohm resistor. As the two turned
on at the next injector pulse the first would turn
off, when the one with no resistor did. But, I
had to quit not having a scope, and it got too
quick to "read" with LEDs.
Or at high speed not enough time is available
for doing this, but by the same token wouldn't
it help to more accurattely control large
injectors at idle.
