Well, if you want the inner surfaces of the plenum and tubular sections to be
smooth, you could always lay the carbon fiber up over a mold...that way the
inner surface should be pretty smooth. If you vacuum bag it, then the outer
surface should end up pretty nice too. And resin can be polished up to a
pretty nice, smooth finish.
