68HC11 and EFI...?

   I have, after examining some 68HC11 simulators and such, become
interested in their application in fuel injection.  I have conversed with
some individuals that have done this before, in fact.  However, I have very
little knowledge on the actual hardware (wiring up of the system) beyond the
fact that I know you need at least the chip and some way to power it...I am
acceptably versed in GM engine control systems, but more on the diagnosis
and repair of them, not the electronic workings therof.  I was wondering if
anyone happened to know where I might find some sort of schematic for an
operable 68HC11 V-8 fuel injection system; I believe I could work out the
programming, although it might be nice if it included a working assembly
source...I am interested more in the tuning and refinement of such a system
on a 454 Chevy than the electronics-development portion...if you can
understand.  Anyone have any ideas?
