Why not just mount the MAF, housing and all,  inside a larger tube. A cut out in
the tube will be required for the box on the side of housing, maybe. The air
will flow through and around the MAF.  The eprom will have to be reprogrammed
anyway.  Make some initial quesses, start with the idle and work your way up to
full throttle.

Right?
