Ex Lotus F1 and Indy designer wrote a good primer on the basics of chassis
design 25 years or so ago I can't remember the exact name but it should still be
available from the some of the companies that specialise in old motoring books.
Fred Phun also wrote a good book "How to make your car handle" (HP books PO box
5367, Tuscon AZ 85703) ISBN 0-912656-46-8 which gives good advice on roll
centres, spring rates and the like.
