I found the following in the archives

>according to my college text "Computerized Engine Controls" by Dick H
King...
>it was the 84 Chrysler that had a VSS sensor that mounts inline with
the speedo
>cable. Two wires came out with the signal. 85 model year had
something
>similar but it looks a bit more custom to the MOPAR tranny.

Now does anyone know if this Chrysler (84 chrylser what?) unit or some
other unit available in a salvage yard will generate the required 2000
pulse per mile I need for my 91 747 TIP swap? Looking for a speedo
inline kind of thing, not real happy with JTR's customer service they
wanted me to buy their swap book just so I would know which little black
box to buy from them..NAW On another note, what effect besides decell
derichment does not having a VSS do? thanks Jason
