Benching Ecms

Bruce,
  My first run bench system uses a 5k pot w/ 5v on
one side, GND on the other, and output on the
wiper. The "limit" to keep it between realistic
values is in the way the thing is labelled. Ie,
if you used the familiar clock analogy 9:00 is 
.4V and 1:00 is 4.7V. I can draw better than I
can figure out the necessary resistors.  :)

PS--the new-and-improved bench will have builtin
limits like you describe, though.
