Tps has a effect on crank BPW depending on a lookup table
Up to bout 80% tps the table gradually increases, then at
about 80% tps it drops. Different apps do it differently.
Some kill the BPW, some drop it to 20 to 1.

Obvious tps has to exceed 80% for this to work
