Steve any one else,

While your working on the archives is it possible to "strip" the messages
logged to the archives.

All we all need to know is the:

>From 
Subject and 
Date

Like the digest mail appears - at least on my eudora 3.0.

The rest of the header info about which machine the message was passed thru
and when etc is of little use and large volume. 
If not while archive is growing maybe as a post process 
SED or AWK or can do these things ??
