Northstar, 4L60 combo

I've noticed there are some transmission people in this group so here's
a question for them.
Does anyone have any Northstar experience?  I have access to a Motor.  I
would like to turn it sideways and put a 700R4 behind it for a rear
wheel drive street rod project.
Is the bell housing the same on block and tranny or would an adapter be
required?
How about the flex plate?
Any info would be appreciated,
