As I remember the article, the author couldn't make appreciable power over
some RPM (>7500?) despite adequite carb/intake/ports/cam/exhaust. The motor
just seemed to have an artificial rev limit. His theory was that the charge
couldn't burn fast enough across the chamber at higher RPM's. A second plug
was installed on the opposite side of the chamber from the factory unit and
sure enough the motor was good for like 9 or 10 grand.
