Fred, already covered the bases pretty good, so this
is just my nickel's worth.
Try and find a distributor that is interchangable with
your's that used an electronic ignition. Perferably
with no centrif/vac. advances. If the coils resistance is
800-1000 ohms then you can use a GM ECM.
Then you have a choice of Thottle Body, or Port
Injection. On a inline six the PI would be a nice large
step up, but for a "beginner" the TBI would be simplier.
If you can come up with a distributor, then using a TBI
would be simple, and GM makes a bunch of engines in
the 3L range, that would be close to your 200 CID.
Then figure for sure TBI/PI. Then weither you want to
use a distributor, or distributorless Ingition.
Read the archives, there is a ton of info there.
Might try looking under 1227747, 1227749, 1227148,
or 148 747 749, which ar all GM ECM numbers that
will help you decide.
HTH Bruce Don't try Powder coating a Cone Shaped
Hat, the curing temp can be higher than
the ignition temp of the fabric, and the
Fire Department, hates putting out Cone
Shaped Hats, especially after the 4th time
