Most of the drysump's I've seen over the years (like mine) is spur gears -
where as two gears mesh and create pressure that way.  I too have seen a
lot of arguments over this, but noticibly better than OEM, which is not
really all that terrible, is good :)

This is very true - I've used that also in combination with the dry-sump, I
should have mentioned that - good suggestion Bruce.
