Coulda wrote in me diary (if I had one), "Ahhh, loovely morning, woke up
to a breakfast of 'filet of foot' on toast". Heh.

It has been brought to my attention by an esteemed collegue who shall
remain anonymous, lest I tarnish his reputation along with mine, that:

The above quote is simply untrue, and the person that wrote that musta
been on drugs er sumpin. Me pee brain does that sometimes; combines
mental fragments that don't go together, sorta like cucumbers and
ice-cream. Yeeck. In short, I screwed up. The Bosch guy did NOT say
that. He said in order to CALIBRATE/map the sensor (since he couldn't
give me the data) I would need to attach a t-couple to element directly,
not just measure the ambient EGT with a free-standing t-couple nearby.
HOW I got this jumbled with PID or any other control scheme (other than
the fact that you need the 'map' to use the sensor in that mode), only
them pesky culprit neurons could say; and they ain't talkin this
morning. The subject is complex enough without adding misinformation.
Mea culpa, dudes. The Bosch boxes/sensors do NOT use any additional
thermocouples attached; just the plain ole LSM-11 (of course).

Oh sigh, main course filetOfoot; and for dessert, humble pie. As my Dad
would say, "Humiliation is a true friend". Thanks Dad, I needed that.
