Mileage with a Motor Home

I've driven several Ford P/U's with 471 Detroits  from Mentzer DDAD out of
sparks, NV.   A real blast to drive.... for a while.  Pretty soon I began to
realize that screaming Detroit (and it DOES scream) is loud. Really loud.
Wore me down to the point where I won't touch one unless it is in the back
of the vehicle.
