Haltech F3

Hi all,

I was one of the people who got a Haltech F3 from Carl Summers and would
like to start the process of getting in a working condition (I didn't buy a
harness).

I phoned Haltech to get some info and they weren't very helpful. I was told
that coolant and air temp sensors were $40 each, and could only be sent by
UPS. UPS charges $40 brokerage when entering Canada, so with the exchange,
I'm looking at almost $200 for two lousy temp sensors.

I asked if he had the specs on them and he told me I would have to contact
Haltech in Australia. Does anyone know where I can get sensors with similar
response characteristics? Apparantly they are not GM units.

I need an AMP connector to plug into the F3 but I should be able to track it
down.

I asked what it would take to upgrade it for turbo use and was told it could
handle 22 psi. I checked the MAP sensor and it's a MPX2010DP, which I think
can only handle a couple of PSI. What would it take to allow boost? Do I
just have to change the MAP sensor or is there more involved?

Finally, there was a modification made to the board at some point. There was
a red-red-red-gold? resistor soldered in parallel with another of the same
value (don't have a chart hany). Was this done by Haltech?

Thanks for any info.
