Definitely more friction material in the 11 inch disc... Can you in fact,
 use the larger clutch disc in your application?   You mentioned the 
Supra trans.  I think a good clutch shop could come up with the
 Supra splined clutch hub on a monster 11 inch disc..  I know it's
on the other side of the world, but there is a place here in Clevland,
Ohio,  USA, named "Custom Clutch & Joint" that can do it.  They
did a custom disc for a friend a year ago for US$150 ...

     You got me on that one.  If you have been experiencing clutch
      problems, it may be best to keep the extra weight and heat capacity
      that accompanies it for this project...
