True. Dont forget "Positraction" is Chevrolets marketing name for a LSD.
Over the years they have used various types so the term does not specify
any specific brand or type, except maybe the Powr-Lok which was the one
they were using when marketing thought up the name.

Correct. NP stands for New Process Gear a division of Chrysler. They put
some or all of this division into a co-venture with GM called New Venture,
thus transmissions like the NV 4500...wonder what that is in German ;-)
