MAP Sensor

Hi,

I'm in the early planning stages to build the computerised distributorless
ignition system on the DIY EFI home page. I wish to have a manifold pressure
sensor, and perhaps a throttle position sensor.

First, what does a MAP sensor look like? Are they bolted directly to the
manifold, are they on the end of a tube, are they part of the ECU box? I plan
to get one from a breaker, but I need to know what it looks like first.

I'm running a Mini with a sidedraft Dellorto carburettor. Does anyone have any
good ideas for attaching a throttle position sensor to such a beast?

Also, the toothed crank position sensor wheel. Can they be had cheaply as a
part? Where are they normally on a Japanese engine burried inside? I can
perhaps hide mine in with the clutch, or I can put it on the other end of the
crank on the pulley there. The pully has about a 15cm diamater.
