"PLCC" Re: 27c512 chip

I'm pretty sure PLCC is Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier.  There are others
package styles referred to as leadless.  

If you've got some time to burn, check www.jedec.org for this type of
stuff.  However, is doesn't look like they've converted the entire spec
that covers most of the IC packaging to electronic form yet.
