Even I have trouble with this one

Just for interest,
With the ford festiva's modified by ORBITAL engines in Western
Australia they have direct fuel injection utilising compressed air
also. The management systems have a large memory, not effected by
power loss, that stores all types of paramters ie: rpm, gear changes,
etc.
Some of these vehicles we given to car hire agencies that clocked up
huge amounts of km with very interesting driving styles revealed as
one would expect from a hire car.

Some ABS units remember some embarrasing stuff. So do airbag control
units, but only during a crash.

Worse yet, when you get off the highway your ECM will be "connected"
to
a state computer which checks things such as speeds and driving
habits,
and automatically issues tickets. Always wondered if anyone
traveling
the toll roads was issued a ticket based on the times printed on the
toll ticket.
