Cylinder Select

Doc sneezed while typing on the prom burner, and may have
found a cylinder select location today.  Other than the rpm reading
twice as high like from 8 cyl to 4 cyl what other things might be a
give away?.  
  Given the proper size injector does this sound like a workable
idea?.   Yes, this was on a 747, while not perfect using just one
injector driver, and a single injector?, or would it have to be a 
dual?.
